I now have both ends TIG welded up and the mounting brakets welded to it so that it can all be mounted using the original steering rack mounting holes
The only thing missing here is that i will also be drilling a hole in either end to fit a roll pin just as a extra measure, other than that i can now refit the inner rack ends to the shaft and then reconnect my tierods
